For safety reasons, children are not allowed to wear jewellery of any kind other than for pupils with pierced ears who must only wear small studs. Any jewellery worn to school, as well as watches, must be taken off at the request of staff and the safety of personal possessions remains the responsibility of the pupil.
School Clothing - Uniform
There is a school uniform that all children are required to wear. If at any time your child is unable to wear uniform to school we must be informed of the reason. The uniform consists of either a navy school sweatshirt or cardigan; a yellow polo shirt with logo; black skirt for girls - trousers for girls and boys; dark socks and black shoes (not trainers) appropriate to the demands of an English winter and the school playground! In summer, girls have an alternative uniform of a yellow and white summer dress and boys may wear black shorts.
For indoor PE, girls and boys will need a white tee shirt and black shorts. In line with LEA expectations, it is our policy that pupils work barefoot during gymnastics/movement lessons.
Please make sure all items of clothing are clearly named.
It is important that your child has appropriate outdoor clothing to suit the seasons and our changeable climate: when coming to school and enjoying playtimes during winter, children need warm, waterproof coats, hats, scarves and gloves. Summer brings dangers associated with the damage the sun can do to health: sunhats, protective sunglasses and sunscreen to protect skin are necessary to keep pupils safe outdoors.
Uniform can be bought from ShipShape online here. They will deliver to school for FREE!
