We follow the national curriculum. The national curriculum is a set of subjects and standards used by primary and secondary schools so children learn the same things. It covers which subjects are taught and the standards children should reach in each subject.

At Marpool, we have developed a curriculum that opens children’s eyes to the world beyond their immediate environment, instils a sense of well-being, inspires children to continue learning and enables pupils to live happy, healthy and productive lives. It is a rich and varied curriculum that encourages investigation, reflection and independent thinking.
Teachers plan together and sometimes even teach together! They incorporate 'wow' moments in their planning to make the learning even more memorable. We invite other experts to come in to school to deliver sessions such as dance lessons, art and yoga.
The other pages in this section will tell you more about how maths and phonics are delivered and how we use the termly curriculum contributions.
Teachers teach imaginative lessons which contain high challenge.
